Oh Me, Oh My

I watched five movies in a row on Saturday, which was, by the way, one of the most beautiful days of the year so far, and needle felted. I am almost done with the ten lions I started last week. I'm adding the eyes and noses to ten mini koalas today and will start up a batch of rainbow acorns for the craft fair!

My inventory list for the craft fair includes about 200 plumpies and mini plumpies. It's an unreasonable amount of work, but until it starts to feel like a burden, I'm keeping that amount as my target. The good thing about having that many plumpies is that if I don't sell them all, I'll have a good inventory for my Etsy shop in May. I can then start focusing on my more artistic sculptures and ventures into the wool world.

I keep thinking that I should be photo-documenting this process, just for kicks, but I'm so busy I forget to take out the camera. I cleaned my studio yesterday and it looks very pretty, so now is my chance. :)

Keep smiling!

100 Sales & Giveaway

I am so grateful to announce that my little Etsy shop has reached 100 sales!!! I originally opened my shop in 2006 to sell paintings of birds on wires, but reinvented myself this past year. I listed the first 20 needle felted items on March 2nd. Since then, I've received so much positive feedback, made so many friends, and have grown my art immensely (go take a look at the first few listings!) In celebration of the first 100 sales, I'm offering a giveaway! The giveaway prize is the Plumpie that started it all - featured on the Etsy Finds blog and the item that generated the first wave of real interest in my shop - the sitting fox . I will make you one of your own, but you can see an example below: To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment with your contact information. One entry per person. The giveaway ends November 26th at 8:00 pm EST , with the drawing on November 27th. I'll announce the winner on Saturday, November 27th.

Shop Update!
